Bigg Boss -04-Oct-2021-720pHDRipx265AAC_VegamoviesNLmkv

Perhaps the biggest effect had on Big Boss's personality was when he was forced to kill The Boss, who was akin to a mother figure to him, during Operation Snake Eater, an action that haunted him for the rest of his life. He initially refused to identify himself as Big Boss because he felt he was still inferior to The Boss, and in his final moments, he told Solid Snake that he was already dead from the moment he killed her. It wasn't until the end of the Peace Walker Incident, ten years after Operation Snake Eater, that he was finally willing to embrace the title of Big Boss. On a similar note, Big Boss also wasn't too fond of the heap of praise for his soldiering skills initially, as he referred to his reputation as "overblown" when Para-Medic claimed he was wanted for treason due to the one who organized the FOX revolt utilizing similar skills to him.[61]

While the Japanese MSX2 manual for Metal Gear displays Big Boss's eyepatch on his left eye, the character sprite displays it on the right eye, and it is the latter appearance that carried over to later games. The eyepatch itself may have been influenced by the appearance of Snake Plissken in the film Escape from New York, much like Solid Snake was. The same manual also describes Big Boss as having been a previous member of the SAS and GSG 9. However, this information was disregarded in all future biographies, and is assumed to no longer be canonical. In artwork featuring the game's boss characters, the unidentified Outer Heaven leader is depicted in silhouette with a walking cane. It is later revealed in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that the "Big Boss" fought by Solid Snake in Outer Heaven was actually a body double, making the identity of the silhouetted character ambiguous.

Big Boss returns as the penultimate boss in the non-canonical NES sequel to Metal Gear, Snake's Revenge. He guards the final fortress where Metal Gear 2 is located. Big Boss reveals to Solid Snake that he survived his injuries in Outer Heaven through surgeries that turned him into a cyborg. At first, he fights with a machine gun, but after being shot several times, he then transforms into a giant RoboCop-like cyborg, and proceeds to chase Snake around while firing napalm shells at him. However, Snake lures him out of the command room and places mines on his feet, which ultimately kills him. Despite his death in this game, Metal Gear 2 is still activated. 041b061a72
